Back in the days …
When Arrow Kirk Heating was owned and operated by Jimmy Kirk, It was the bootlegging days in Vancouver. The business was started in 1896, in the coal and ice delivery service, moving into wood for central heating. Once oil hit the scene, for him, it was good-bye cart and hello motor vehicle and forced air systems to heat the modern home.
By 1960, homes were converting from oil to gas and for the next 35 years Victor Culos owned and operated Arrow Kirk Heating, which included High efficiency heating and Air Conditioning systems. Seeing through yet another major change in the heating industry and unknowingly ahead of his time in being “green” it became the biggest savings to the consumers pocket book in years.
In 1995 the baton had been placed into the capable hands of Victor’s son Adrian Culos and business partner Ken Arnold to take it into the next generation of customized services including; custom ductwork for home renovations, air conditioning services, water tank replacements, CO testing, gas fitting and installation of gas fireplaces, stoves and barbeques. They have also added a bit of creativity to Arrow Kirk by contracting their expertise in custom duct work for the movie industry.
Over 100 years of quality service. Now that’s comforting.
